The cricket club was originally formed in 1938 but went into abeyance after the second world war before being re-formed in 1956.
The club currently runs three senior men's teams, a ladies XI, and junior sides at under 11, 13, 15, 17 & 18 age groups. The 1st & 2nd XI and under 18's play in the Manchester & District Association, the 3rd XI in the Horwich Churches & Welfare Cricket Association, the Ladies XI compete in the Lancashire Womens League, and the other junior sides all play in the Bolton & District Cricket Association.
